Victorville DMV: Hours, Services & Appointment Guide

The DMV field office for the whole Victor Valley — eight counter services, licenses, REAL ID, and behind-the-wheel drive tests at 14855 Corta Drive. But three traps catch Victorville readers: Wednesday opens at 9 a.m., not 8 a.m.; this office has NO on-site kiosk; and the office ZIP is 92395, not 92394. Independent guide, verified against dmv.ca.gov.

14855 Corta Drive, Victorville, CA 92395
San Bernardino County — High Desert / Victor Valley city · counter-service office, no on-site kiosk · serves Hesperia, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Phelan and Lucerne Valley, none of which has a field office of its own

1Victorville’s High Desert office — and the three traps

If you live anywhere in the Victor Valley, this is your DMV office — and for most of you it is your only full-service option. The field office at 14855 Corta Drive is a counter-service office: all eight services on the DMV’s list, from licensing and testing to title transfers and registration work. It sits in Victorville, the principal city of the Victorville–Hesperia–Apple Valley urban area, on the Interstate 15 corridor in the High Desert of San Bernardino County. Victorville was incorporated on September 21, 1962, and named for Jacob Nash Victor; the 2020 census counted 134,810 people in the city itself and 355,816 in the Victor Valley urban area, making the city the fifth-largest in San Bernardino County and the 43rd-largest in California. That catchment is exactly why this office matters so much: a large share of its visitors do not live in Victorville proper. They come from Hesperia, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Phelan and Lucerne Valley — towns that have no field office of their own (Section 4). For those readers, Victorville is not the local DMV by choice; it is the only full-service DMV in the Victor Valley.

Three traps catch Victorville readers, and all three are worth knowing before you leave the house. First, Wednesday opens late. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday open at 8 a.m.; Wednesday opens at 9 a.m. and still closes at 5 p.m. A reader who arrives at 8 a.m. on a Wednesday waits outside a closed office. The pattern is statewide-standard, not a Victorville quirk — Barstow, San Bernardino, Fontana, Redlands and Rancho Cucamonga all show the same Wednesday 9 a.m. opening on their own dmv.ca.gov pages — but it still has to be said, because it is the one hours fact a Victorville visitor is most likely to get wrong. Second, there is no kiosk inside this office. The Victorville field-office page carries no kiosk banner and its services list contains no “Self Service Terminals” line. At least one third-party directory claims otherwise; dmv.ca.gov is authoritative and the directory is wrong. The practical consequence is real: a Victorville resident who only needs a registration renewal, a sticker or card printout, or a driver or vehicle record should not drive to Corta Drive for it — the grocery-store kiosks in Section 6 do those jobs seven days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays when the field office is closed. Third, the ZIP is 92395. An earlier version of this site’s own research gave 92394; that is a real Victorville-area ZIP, but it is not this office’s ZIP. Every dmv.ca.gov listing read on October 28, 2026 gives 92395, and this page prints 92395 only for the office. Searching or navigating with 92394 can send you to the wrong part of town.

One more correction, because it shows up in drafts about this office: Victorville is not the county seat. The county seat of San Bernardino County is the city of San Bernardino. Victorville is a major High Desert city, but it holds no county-seat offices, and any sentence implying otherwise should be cut. If your errand is a county errand rather than a DMV errand, it belongs in San Bernardino, not on Corta Drive.

2Hours, services & what this office offers

The hours below were verified on the Victorville field-office page on dmv.ca.gov on October 28, 2026, which showed the weeks of October 25–31 and November 1–7 with the identical pattern. State holidays can change hours — confirm on the official Victorville office page before you go, and check our California DMV holidays guide if your visit falls near a holiday. This page prints no wait-time minutes: the office’s live wait-time display on dmv.ca.gov is the only wait-time figure worth trusting, because a snapshot taken at any hour is stale by the next.

The office provides eight services, exactly as listed on dmv.ca.gov. Read the list as a checklist for your task, not as a slogan: if your task is not on it, this office does not do it at the counter — and the lane split below explains where it does get done instead. Do not add “Self Service Terminals” to this list in your head: that is the kiosk line this office lacks, and it is the cleanest proof of the kiosk distinction in Section 4.

Service (as listed on dmv.ca.gov)What it covers for you
Licensing ServicesDriver license and ID card transactions handled at the counter
TestingKnowledge tests and behind-the-wheel drive tests (by appointment — see Section 3)
Title TransfersTransferring a vehicle title into a new owner’s name
RegistrationVehicle registration transactions handled at the counter
Plates, Permits, & PlacardsLicense plates, permits, and disabled-person parking placards
Replace Lost/Stolen/DamagedReplacing a lost, stolen, or damaged license, ID, or registration item at the counter
RecordsDriver and vehicle record requests handled at the counter
Request miscellaneous original documentsOther original DMV documents requested in person

Payments accepted at the counter: cash, check, credit card, debit card, digital wallet, and money order — the standard field-office payment line printed on the Victorville page itself. Phone (statewide, all field offices): 1-800-777-0133. There is no Victorville-only phone number.

The lane split — read this before you book. Statewide DMV appointment guidance says appointments should not be made, and no counter service is offered, for routine registration renewals, routine license or ID renewals, record requests, and standard replacement licenses: those are handled online, at a DMV Now kiosk, through a business partner, or by mail. That is the statewide appointment-system rule, not a Victorville-specific rule, and it is the reason the most common wasted trip to Victorville is a Saturday-morning drive to a closed office for a renewal that a grocery-store kiosk could have finished on Sunday evening. Book the counter only for counter services: a first license or ID, a REAL ID, a knowledge test, a title transfer, or a new registration — plus the drive-test track in Section 3.

REAL ID at Victorville. Victorville handles REAL ID applications at the counter like any full-service field office. A REAL ID requires an in-person visit with original documents, and it cannot be completed at a kiosk. The document pattern, from the DMV’s REAL ID checklist, is: one proof of identity (for example a valid U.S. passport or a certified birth certificate), proof of Social Security number (for example a Social Security card, a W-2, or a pay stub showing the full number), and two different documents proving California residency (for example a lease plus a utility bill — two bills from the same source do not count as two documents). This page presents that pattern as a checklist and directs you to the DMV’s own REAL ID checklist on dmv.ca.gov for the full accepted-documents list, rather than trying to reproduce that list in full. See also our REAL ID appointment guide for the booking side. No fee figure is printed on this page: fee amounts are gated to dmv.ca.gov’s fee pages, and this page sources nothing from memory.

3Booking an appointment here

Victorville uses the single statewide California DMV appointment system on dmv.ca.gov — there is no Victorville-only booking line and no separate Victorville phone number. The statewide phone for booking and for all field-office questions is 1-800-777-0133. Online booking comes first in this guide and phone second, since the phone route is consistently reported as slower — but this page invents no phone wait-time figure to prove it.

The two tracks. The system has two appointment types, and picking the wrong one is the booking mistake this page sees most. Field office appointment is for a future date and time at a chosen office, for counter services such as a first license or ID, a REAL ID, a knowledge test, a title transfer, or a new registration. Drive test appointment is a separate track for the behind-the-wheel test, which is by appointment only. If you are booking a road test and you pick a general visit, you have booked the wrong thing — pick “drive test” explicitly. The same-day alternative is Get in Line: separate from a booked appointment, the DMV offers same-day electronic check-in for an office — you join that day’s line online instead of booking a future slot. Appointment is for a future date; Get in Line is for today. Readers confuse the two constantly, and the confusion is the subject of several FAQs in Section 5.

Step by step. (1) Complete the DMV’s online application first if your service has one — license, ID and REAL ID applications generate a confirmation code to bring. (2) Open the appointment system on dmv.ca.gov and pick the appointment type (field office visit vs. drive test). (3) Search by the Victorville ZIP (92395) or pick the Victorville office by name; if Victorville shows no slot, check Barstow, San Bernardino, Fontana, Redlands or Rancho Cucamonga in the same session — any California field office serves any California resident, and the system lets you search beyond Victorville without starting over. (4) Save the confirmation details (confirmation number or code) and bring them to the visit. (5) If plans change, cancel through the DMV’s View/Cancel page and book a new slot — there is no reschedule button that moves an existing booking; cancelling and rebooking is the documented two-step process. (6) By phone instead: call 1-800-777-0133.

Do-not-book warning (repeated from Section 2, because it belongs here too). Do not book a counter appointment for a routine registration renewal, a routine license or ID renewal, a record request, or a standard replacement license — the appointment system offers no counter service for those, and a reader who books for one of them will be turned away from the counter, not served faster. The correct route is online, a kiosk, a partner, or mail. Our California DMV appointment guide covers the statewide system in full, including the widen-your-search strategy used in Section 4.

4Nearby DMV offices: check the services list before you drive

Every office in this table was verified on its own dmv.ca.gov field-office page on October 28, 2026 — hours pattern, service list, and kiosk status were read off that office’s page, never copied from Victorville’s page or from a locator summary. The six offices share one hours pattern, so the table’s real information is the service count and the kiosk column. Listing order is geographic logic (desert corridor first, then the Inland Empire offices), not a distance ranking: no dmv.ca.gov page read for this guide stated an office-to-office distance, and this page prints none rather than copying third-party directory estimates as if they were official.

The practical takeaway for a Victorville reader is simple. If Victorville is booked or closed, Barstow is the other no-kiosk full-service office in the desert corridor, while San Bernardino, Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga are the nearest offices with an on-site kiosk — but all of them keep the same weekday hours and all are closed on weekends, so none of them solves a Saturday problem. For a Saturday or Sunday need, the answer is a kiosk (Section 6), not another field office. Our own guides for two of the kiosk offices are live: San Bernardino DMV and Rancho Cucamonga DMV. Barstow, Fontana and Redlands have no guide on this site yet; their official pages are Barstow on dmv.ca.gov, Fontana on dmv.ca.gov, and Redlands on dmv.ca.gov.

Do not go to the wrong San Bernardino or Fontana location. The main San Bernardino office (1310 N Waterman Avenue, 8–5) and the San Bernardino IBC location (473 East Carnegie Drive, Suite 125, San Bernardino, CA 92408, Mon–Tue/Thu–Fri 7 a.m.–4 p.m., Wed 8 a.m.–4 p.m.) are different places with different hours, as are the main Fontana office (8026 Hemlock Avenue, 8–5) and the Fontana Commercial Drive Test Center (10207 Poplar Avenue, Fontana, CA 92335, same 7–4 / Wed 8–4 pattern). Those two are specialist locations, not the main field offices, and a reader looking for the main office must not be sent to the 7–4 location by mistake. For Barstow-bound readers: Barstow’s dmv.ca.gov nearby list names Last Call Insurance Services (621 East Main Street, Barstow, CA 92311, 1-760-256-5158) and JC Vehicle Registration / Lien Sale (34825 Minneola Road, Newberry Springs, CA 92365, 1-760-267-3237) as partners. One Barstow nearby entry lists a Poway address — plainly a data error in the locator’s nearby list, and this page does not repeat it as a Barstow partner.

Towns with no DMV of their own — read this before you search for them. Each town below was checked on October 28, 2026, by opening the standard dmv.ca.gov field-office URL pattern for the town name. Each returned HTTP 404 — the dmv.ca.gov field-office page does not exist — corroborated by the absence of any field office for these towns in dmv.ca.gov’s Victorville nearby lists. None of these towns has a DMV field office, and this page says so explicitly, because each town’s name plus “DMV” is a search readers actually perform.

Honesty note on the 404 method: a 404 on the standard slug pattern is strong evidence, corroborated as above, but it is not the same as running a dmv.ca.gov locator search for each town name. If any locator result contradicts a 404, the locator result wins and this section must be corrected. Until then, the 404s stand as the verified finding of this guide’s research.

5Frequently asked questions

What are the Victorville DMV hours?

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Wednesday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (opens one hour late); closed Saturday and Sunday. Verified on dmv.ca.gov on October 28, 2026. Re-check the office page on the day you travel, especially around holidays — holiday closures are not in the weekly pattern.

What is the Victorville DMV address?

14855 Corta Drive, Victorville, CA 92395. The ZIP is 92395 — not 92394. Phone (statewide, all field offices): 1-800-777-0133.

Is the Victorville DMV open on Saturday?

No. The field office is closed every Saturday and Sunday. For a weekend errand, use a DMV Now kiosk (Section 6) or the DMV’s online services — the grocery-store kiosks run seven days a week, including the hours when the field office is closed.

Does the Victorville DMV have a kiosk inside?

No. The office page shows no kiosk banner and no “Self Service Terminals” service. The nearest verified kiosks are the grocery-store kiosks in Victorville (Food 4 Less, Superior Grocers, Vons) and Apple Valley (Albertsons) — all open seven days a week. A third-party directory claiming a Victorville office kiosk contradicts dmv.ca.gov and should not be trusted.

Do I need an appointment at the Victorville DMV?

An appointment is the recommended route for counter services (first license or ID, REAL ID, knowledge test, title transfer, new registration), and the behind-the-wheel test is by appointment only. For a same-day visit, the DMV’s Get in Line electronic check-in is the same-day alternative to a booked appointment. Do not book for routine renewals, record requests, or standard replacements — those have no counter service (Section 3).

How do I book a Victorville DMV appointment?

Through the statewide appointment system on dmv.ca.gov (field office visit vs. drive test), or by phone at 1-800-777-0133. Search by the Victorville ZIP 92395 or pick the Victorville office by name, and save your confirmation details. If Victorville shows no slot, check Barstow, San Bernardino, Fontana, Redlands or Rancho Cucamonga in the same session.

Can I just walk in to the Victorville DMV?

The DMV’s same-day path is Get in Line, the electronic check-in for that day’s line — not an advertised walk-up counter. If you have no appointment, use Get in Line rather than assuming a walk-up will be served promptly. That framing is statewide appointment guidance, not a Victorville-specific walk-in policy printed on the office page.

What should I bring for a REAL ID at Victorville?

One original proof of identity, proof of Social Security number, and two different California residency documents (Section 10). Bring originals or certified copies — photocopies are not accepted for identity — and check the DMV’s own REAL ID checklist on dmv.ca.gov for the full accepted-documents list.

Can I renew my registration at the Victorville DMV?

Routine registration renewal is not a counter appointment service — do it online, at a kiosk, through a partner, or by mail. The Victorville kiosks in Section 6 handle registration renewal during store hours, seven days a week. If your renewal has a hold or a special condition, check the DMV’s transaction guidance before travelling.

Is there a DMV in Hesperia or Apple Valley?

No. Neither town has a DMV field office — both returned 404 on dmv.ca.gov’s field-office URL pattern on October 28, 2026. Hesperia and Apple Valley residents use the Victorville field office, the Victorville/Apple Valley kiosks, or a local DMV partner (Sections 4 and 7). Adelanto, Phelan and Lucerne Valley likewise have no field office.

Which DMV office near Victorville has a kiosk?

San Bernardino (1310 N Waterman Avenue), Fontana (8026 Hemlock Avenue) and Rancho Cucamonga (8629 Hellman Avenue) each have an on-site self-serve kiosk, verified on their own dmv.ca.gov pages. Barstow and Redlands, like Victorville, do not. All six keep the same weekday hours and are closed weekends — so for a weekend need, use a grocery-store kiosk, not another field office.

What if Victorville has no appointment slot?

Check the other offices in the same booking session — Barstow, San Bernardino, Fontana, Redlands or Rancho Cucamonga. Any California field office serves any California resident, and the appointment system lets you search beyond Victorville without starting over. For a same-day need, try Get in Line instead of waiting for a future slot.

6Kiosks: no on-site machine, but four grocery kiosks that cover weekends

dmv.ca.gov’s Victorville page lists four grocery-store kiosks in its nearby locations. Each is a DMV Now kiosk: a self-serve station for certain registration services and driver or vehicle record requests. The DMV’s own description, repeated on every kiosk page, is that “the range of services varies by kiosk location” — so this page does not promise a specific transaction at a specific kiosk beyond the general kiosk description. Hours below are the store kiosk hours as listed on dmv.ca.gov, and they are the reason this table matters: every one of these kiosks is open seven days a week, including the Saturday and Sunday hours when the Victorville field office is closed. See our California DMV kiosk guide for the statewide picture.

Kiosk (dmv.ca.gov listing)AddressKiosk hours (dmv.ca.gov)

What kiosks can and cannot do (general kiosk guidance, not a per-kiosk promise). Kiosks handle registration renewal, registration card and sticker printouts, duplicate driver licenses without a name change, address updates, and driver/vehicle record requests, subject to eligibility — some renewals are blocked by holds, suspensions, or age and testing rules. Kiosks cannot take a first license or ID application, a REAL ID application, a written test, or a behind-the-wheel test, and they cannot renew a commercial license. That split is the decision that saves a reader a wasted trip in either direction. Hesperia kiosk gap, stated honestly: no Hesperia grocery-store kiosk appeared in the dmv.ca.gov Victorville nearby list read for this guide, and no dmv.ca.gov Hesperia kiosk page surfaced in the research. This page does not claim “there is no kiosk in Hesperia” as a verified statewide fact — only that none is listed among Victorville’s dmv.ca.gov nearby locations. Hesperia residents’ nearest verified kiosks in this research are the three Victorville grocery kiosks above.

7DMV partners near Victorville: registration help for an extra fee

DMV partners are businesses authorised by the DMV to handle certain registration services, often with shorter waits; the DMV’s own note, repeated on every partner listing, is that additional fees may be applied by the partner. This page repeats that note and does not promise that a partner can do any particular transaction — “certain registration services” is the DMV’s own wording, and this page keeps it. Partners do not issue REAL ID, run tests, or issue first-time licenses — those need the office.

All-week-closed anomaly — the handling rule. Two Victorville-area partner listings (Stewarts and Truckers Permits/more) show “Mon–Sun Closed” on dmv.ca.gov, and Toms Registration Service likewise shows closed days on its partner page. A business that were truly closed every day would not be a useful listing, so the likeliest explanations are a stale listing or a hours-data gap — but this guide does not guess which. For those three, this page prints name, address and phone only, plus a “call first to confirm current hours” caution, and never invents opening hours for them. The same caution applies to Anew Insurance Services, whose Victorville-page listing shows no hours at all. Ask the price before handing over paperwork at any partner: the partner’s extra fee is theirs, not the DMV’s, and it is not printed here because no dmv.ca.gov listing states it.

8Drive tests at Victorville: what to expect

The behind-the-wheel test at Victorville is by appointment only, on the separate drive-test track — not the general-visit track (Section 3). Book “drive test” explicitly, and bring your appointment confirmation details. This page asserts no drive-test route and no street-by-street practice loop for Victorville: no official source publishes one, and third-party route sites are not dmv.ca.gov facts. It likewise makes no motorcycle-testing availability claim for this office: the Victorville services list says “Testing” without breaking it down, and this page does not expand that word into a vehicle-class promise. What the page can say generally, from California’s published test preparation guidance, is that the test vehicle must be in safe working condition and properly registered and insured, and that a licensed driver must accompany a permit holder to the test — our drive-yourself-to-the-test guide and driving test appointment guide cover the accompanying-driver rule (California-licensed) and the test-day checklist in full. If your test is for a commercial license, confirm the test class with the DMV before booking: Victorville’s published services list does not break “Testing” down by class, and this page will not guess at it.

9Transit, parking & getting there

Transit — planner-check framing only. The bus operator for the Victor Valley is Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA), vvta.org, phone 760-948-3030 (scheduling information also listed at 760-244-4000). The hub is the Victor Valley Transportation Center (VVTC) in Victorville, on D Street — the transfer point for VVTA’s Victor Valley network and for the regional Route 15 service connecting Barstow, Victorville and the San Bernardino Transportation Center. Routes serving the Victorville area, from VVTA route listings, include Route 41 (Apple Valley Post Office – Victor Valley Transportation Center), Routes 42 and 43 (Victor Valley College – Apple Valley), Route 49 (Apple Valley Post Office – Victor Valley Mall), Route 50 (Victor Valley Transportation Center – Hesperia Post Office via Hesperia Road), Route 52 (Victor Valley Transportation Center – Victor Valley Mall), Route 53 (Victor Valley Mall – Victor Valley College via Bear Valley Road), Route 55 (Victor Valley Transportation Center – Victor Valley College), Route 56 (Victor Valley Transportation Center – Lorene Drive + 7th Street), Route 31 (Victor Valley Transportation Center – Adelanto), and Route 15 (Barstow – Victorville – San Bernardino). Use VVTA’s trip planner on vvta.org (or the VVTA phone lines above) and plan the trip for a weekday arrival well before the office’s 5 p.m. close, remembering the Wednesday 9 a.m. opening. This page does not tell you which stop to use, how far any stop is from Corta Drive, or how long any walk takes — none of that was verified in this guide’s research, and a wrong walk claim is worse than no walk claim. The transit advice ends with the planner-check instruction, not with a walking direction.

Parking — no claim made. The office does not publish parking details, and this page makes no claim about the lot, capacity, or street parking. Arrive early and allow time to park. Any guide that describes Victorville’s lot in detail is describing something it did not verify on dmv.ca.gov.

10What to bring

Organised by visit type, not as one undifferentiated list — that is the format readers actually use at the door. Bring our document checklist as a second pass over this section before you leave.

Every visit: appointment confirmation details (confirmation number or code) if you booked, or Get in Line check-in details if you joined the same-day line; your current driver license or ID card, if you have one; the completed online application confirmation code, if you completed one before booking; a payment method from the accepted list (cash, check, credit card, debit card, digital wallet, or money order).

REAL ID / first license / first ID: one original proof of identity (valid U.S. passport, certified birth certificate, certificate of naturalization or citizenship, or permanent resident card — originals or certified copies only; photocopies are not accepted for identity); proof of Social Security number (Social Security card, W-2, or pay stub showing the full number); two different documents proving California residency (lease + utility bill, mortgage statement + bank statement, vehicle registration + insurance document — two documents from the same source do not count as two); name-change linking documents if the name on your identity document differs from the name on your application (for example a marriage certificate or court order).

Learner permit / teen visit (general California preparation, not Victorville-office rules): a completed driver license application signed by a parent or guardian for applicants under 18; proof of identity, Social Security number, and California residency (same categories as above); driver education completion certificate, where applicable. The permit-visit details here come from general California permit-visit guidance, not from the Victorville field-office page itself — frame them as preparation and link to dmv.ca.gov, not as Victorville-office rules.

Vehicle transactions (title transfer, registration, plates/placards): the vehicle title, if the transaction involves a title; current registration card, if you have one; smog certification, where the transaction requires it (this page does not state which transactions require smog — that depends on the vehicle and the transaction, and dmv.ca.gov’s transaction pages are the authority); the registered owner’s identification, and a power of attorney if someone else is completing the transaction for the owner. Check the DMV’s transaction page for your exact case rather than treating this list as a promise.

Replacement (lost/stolen/damaged): identification, and any police report reference if the item was stolen. Note the lane split: a standard replacement license is also one of the transactions the DMV steers to online, kiosk, or mail instead of a counter appointment — check the online route first before booking a counter visit for a plain replacement.

Common mistakes — the Victorville-specific list, in one place. (1) Arriving at 8 a.m. on a Wednesday. (2) Arriving on a Saturday or Sunday for anything. (3) Using the wrong ZIP — 92395, not 92394. (4) Driving to the field office for a kiosk job. (5) Expecting a kiosk inside the Victorville office. (6) Booking a counter appointment for a renewal, a record, or a standard replacement. (7) Bringing two residency documents from the same source for a REAL ID. (8) Bringing a photocopy for identity. (9) Assuming Hesperia, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Phelan or Lucerne Valley has its own DMV. (10) Trusting a partner’s listed hours without calling. (11) Going to the wrong San Bernardino or Fontana location (main office vs. IBC / Commercial Drive Test Center). (12) Assuming the weekly hours pattern answers the “is it open today” question by itself — holiday closures are not in the weekly pattern, so re-check the dmv.ca.gov Victorville page on the day of travel.

11Timing strategy: what the verified facts actually say

An appointment at any hour beats a walk-in at any hour — that is the whole section in one sentence, and it is the only timing claim this page needs. Beyond it, three timing facts are verified and worth knowing. First, Wednesdays open at 9:00 AM, not 8:00 AM — an 8:00 AM Wednesday arrival waits outside for a door that was never going to open. Second, weekends are closed, always — and the Section 6 kiosks, not the office, are the weekend option for renewals and records. Third, holiday weeks change the pattern, so check the holiday schedule before a holiday-week visit. This page prints no “busiest day” ranking and no wait-time minutes: the office’s live wait-time display on dmv.ca.gov is the only figure that is current, and any guide that ranks Victorville’s days by busyness is ranking a snapshot it took once. Book an appointment, bring originals, check Wednesday hours, and check the holiday schedule before a holiday-week visit — that is the complete timing strategy.

Ready to book?

Booking happens on the DMV’s official scheduler — it’s free. Book the Corta Drive office for Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Phelan, and Lucerne Valley visits — and remember to pick “drive test” (not a general visit) if you are booking a road test, to use the Victorville and Apple Valley grocery kiosks for renewals and records instead of an office visit, and to call any partner before driving there. Bring our document checklist so you walk in prepared, and double-check the holiday schedule before you go.
