About Us
We’re an independent guide — not the DMV. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the California Department of Motor Vehicles or dmv.ca.gov. Appointments can only be booked on the DMV’s official systems.
Booking a California DMV appointment shouldn’t feel like a second job. Between figuring out which service you actually need, what documents to bring, and whether you even need an appointment at all, the official information is scattered across dozens of pages. We built californiadmvappointment.us to put it all in one place, in plain English.
What we do
- Explain the booking process step by step — online, by phone, and what to do when no slots are available.
- Document checklists for the most common visits: driver’s licenses, REAL ID, driving tests, and registration.
- Office guidance so you know what to expect before you walk in.
- Keep everything dated and verified against dmv.ca.gov. When the DMV changes a process, we update the guide.
What we don’t do
- We never book, reschedule, or cancel appointments for you. Only the DMV’s official systems can do that.
- We never charge fees and never ask for your personal information, driver’s license number, or payment details.
- We don’t give legal advice. Our guides are informational — for anything official, confirm with the DMV directly.
How we verify our guides
Every guide on this site is checked against dmv.ca.gov and the DMV’s published handbooks before it goes live, and re-checked on a regular schedule. Each page shows when it was last verified. If you spot something outdated, tell us — we’ll fix it.
